The Snook Adam's Kid's Day is a fun family event held in the month of June towards the end of the school year. A super fun kid's pirate festival that's full of games, face painting, balloons, story telling, a hunt for buried treasure and pirate dress up contest.
The Pirate Picnic takes place on the shandy shore of Bay Front Park in Anna Maria, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. This year the Anna Maria Island Privateer's are offering "prizes galore" with new and very pirate-y games like the 'Rat Toss, Water Balloon Tossing, Scavenger Hunts and Water Pistol Fights'. This is a fun festival specifically catering to kids.

Snook Adam's is the highly regarded Islander and former Police Chief of Holmes Beach. Snook started this celebration in 1954 with two cases of Coca-Cola and a bunch of grilled hot dogs on the beach for the kids, as a celebration of the end of the school year.
After his retirement, the Anna Maria Island Privateers took over Snook's great work and dedication towards this event. This year the Privateers are providing free hot dogs, pizza and soda for all the kids. They kindly ask that the bigger kids make a donation to help keep this great event going.
Feel free to board the "Skullywag", Anna Maria's famous pirate ship if you dare.... Argh Matey!
